Step by Step Guide

Follow our simple step by step guide to organic certification

1

Contact AsureQuality Customer Service Centre

Receive an Organic Registration Pack or download the documents from this website. Read the Frequently Asked Questions and follow the steps as outlined below. If you have any questions regarding the procedure or how your operation fits into this, please contact us for clarification on:

Free phone: 0508 00 11 22 or Email: info@asurequality.com

2

Complete a Management Plan

Enclosed in your pack you will find an Organic Registration Form and a Management Plan appropriate to your business. Complete the Management Plan according to your operation. The plan requires detailed information on how you operate and document the audit trail of your business, including both inputs and outputs.

If you have any questions while completing the management plan contact us using the details listed above.

3

Complete and Return the Management Plan and Organic Registration Form

Once the Management plan is completed, send it with the completed Organic Registration Form and the Credit Application to:
AsureQuality Organic Certification, Private Bag 14946, Panmure, Auckland 1741

The certification process will take approximately 3 months upon receipt of these forms.

4

On-site Assessment/Audit

An organic auditor will contact you to make an appointment to conduct an on-site audit of your operation to ensure that every aspect of your operation complies with the AsureQuality Organic Standard.

If you are a livestock or horticulture operator intending to export, a multiresidue soil test should be taken two weeks prior to the audit. Click here to download the application form.

5

Submission of Audit Findings

Following the on-site audit, the organic auditor will submit a formal report on the findings of the audit. The report will include (but may not be confined to) any non-conformance against the AsureQuality Organic Standard that needs to be addressed.

 6

Response to any Audit Findings / Non-Conformances

The organic auditor will agree with you on how to resolve any non-conformances and set the closing due date.

 7

Organic Certification Status Issued

When all non-conformances are closed out, an organic certification status certificate will be issued covering the scope of your operation. The AsureQuality organic logo can now be used in approved marketing materials.

 8

Requesting the AgriQuality Organic Logo

To get a copy of the AsureQuality organic logo appropriate for your requirements contact us on 0508 00 11 22 and we will send you a licence agreement to sign.  Please contact us to receive your free road side sign.
